In a society with fewer children and an ageing
population, social security benefits are being cut back, and the
management of medical institutions and the social welfare sector is
increasingly difficult. As medical and nursing care services are
largely managed privately in Japan, instable management of private
businesses can lead to various problems in the administration of the
social security system. Until now there has been insufficient
management analysis using fiscal data within the social security
sector. This book uses financial statement analysis and a range of
public fiscal and tax data primarily available on the internet to
discuss the management of various sectors and specific ways in which
they can be improved.
